TALISMAN WARS

Talisman Wars is the UK CrossFit competition series run by Talisman Gym, Hertford. 

They’re fun, friendly events held with a reputation for creating challenging yet fun workouts all perfectly tailored to suit your CrossFit experience. Talisman Wars offers something for everyone, from RX to intermediate and Scaled/Everyday athletes.

Upcoming Competitions:

Talisman Trials

The Talisman Trials is a fast-paced, combine-style event designed to measure every facet of your physical capacity in a tight window.

  • Date & Location: Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Talisman Gym (Hertford).

  • Price: £10 per athlete.

  • Format: You have a 90 minute window to complete 5 distinct fitness trials.

  • Team Options: You can enter as an Individual or as a Pair.

  • The Leaderboard: There is only one single leaderboard. While anyone can scale the movements or weights to participate, athletes who complete the workouts at the Rx standard take ranking priority on the board.

Known Workouts:

  • Trial 01: Vert Trial (Details pending).

  • Trial 02: Time Trial (Details pending).

  • Trial 03: Bodyweight Trial (Details pending).

  • Trial 04 (Press Trial): Max-effort strict press, push press, and push jerk to accumulate maximum total overhead repetitions.

  • Trial 05 (Lift Trial): Establish a 1-Rep Max Deadlift within your remaining time window.

Talisman Winter Wars

  • Divisions: Unlike the Trials, this event uses the classic, structured Talisman divisions:

    • RX (Titans): Advanced movement standards and heavier loads.

    • Intermediate (Spartans): Reduced gymnastics volume with intermediate loading.

    • Everyday (Gladiators): Highly accessible, scaled standard for all fitness levels.

    • Masters (Legends): Dedicated division for athletes aged 35+.

What to Expect: A full day of competitive functional fitness workouts, live DJ sets, local food vendors, and a packed spectator area

Winter Wars is a high-energy, community-driven event that serves as the gym's major same-sex pairs competition to close out the year.

  • Date & Location: November 21–22, 2026, at Talisman Gym.

  • Format: A one-day competition (your specific competition day depends on your chosen division).

  • Team Options: Strictly Same-Sex Pairs (Male/Male or Female/Female).
